aQui con fe

A living space for scholarship, faith, music, literature, history, memory, and the social arts.

Here, with me.

!aQui! en vivo

Live updates from the studio and the site — new pieces, new rooms, and new questions, as they happen.

Sep 30, 2026

The aQui con fe Studio went live — a private constellation for questions, projects, and rooms, with a public face for the world to read.

Sep 30, 2026

aquiconfe.org launched: a living space for scholarship, faith, music, literature, history, and the social arts.

Voz con Fe

Live voice from the house — readings, conversations, and broadcasts as they happen. First transmission forthcoming.

Come inside.

aQui con fe is imagined as a house of ideas: different rooms, different forms of attention, one shared place.

Scholarship, research, education, questions, reading, teaching, archives, and the ideas that keep unfolding. A place to take knowledge seriously without pretending that knowledge is ever finished.

Possibilities

The Study is where curiosity gets a desk. Reading groups and study circles, research projects with public notes, syllabi and teaching materials, translation work — and a standing invitation: bring your hardest questions, office hours are always open.

One house: the Study's questions become every other room's starting point.

Faith, reflection, devotion, doubt, ritual, spiritual practice, questions of belonging, and the many ways people search for meaning.

Possibilities

The Chapel holds faith and doubt in the same breath. Devotionals and liturgies, rituals for grief and celebration, contemplative practices, interfaith dialogue — and room for the questions that don't resolve. Belonging is practiced here, not proven.

One house: the Chapel's reverence steadies the whole house.

Literature, books, poetry, fiction, criticism, language, translation, intertextuality, and the strange architecture of the written word.

Possibilities

The Library treats the written word as architecture. The works shelf lives here, alongside reading lists, criticism and annotations, translation projects, and slow conversations with books — where sentences are taken apart to see how they hold.

  • Books — the shelves themselves; volumes keeping each other company.
  • Poetry — language distilled until it burns.
  • Fiction — invented worlds telling true things.
  • Criticism — reading as a second act of creation.
  • Language — the material everything here is made of.
  • Translation — carrying meaning across the border of tongues.
  • Intertextuality — books talking to books when we're not listening.
  • The strange architecture of the written word — sentences built like rooms; come inside them.

One house: the Library's sentences wander into every room.

Music, playlists, artists, lyrics, sound, performance, music history, and the songs that become part of how we remember ourselves.

Possibilities

The Listening Room treats songs as texts and playlists as essays. Artist features, music histories, lyrics read closely, listening sessions — attending to the songs that become part of how we remember ourselves.

This week in the Listening Room

Every week the needle drops somewhere new — a song, a lyric, a sound, a stage, a story from music's long memory.

  • Music of the week — the record on the turntable (first pick forthcoming)
  • Lyrics of the week — words worth singing twice (first pick forthcoming)
  • Sound of the week — a texture, a timbre, a weather (first pick forthcoming)
  • Performance of the week — a stage, a room, a moment (first pick forthcoming)
  • Music history fact of the week — something the past is still humming (first pick forthcoming)
  • Song of the week — the one on repeat (first pick forthcoming)

One house: the Listening Room's songs score the whole house.

History, documents, testimony, oral histories, photographs, institutional records, migration, memory, and the things people choose to preserve.

Possibilities

The Archive is memory with a filing system — and a pulse. Oral histories, family documents, institutional records, migration stories, photographs, and guides for preserving what matters before it disappears.

One house: the Archive's memory anchors every room.

Photography, visual art, film, performance, exhibitions, family archives, and images that hold more than words can sometimes carry.

Possibilities

The Gallery holds its strands separately, because each one sees differently —

  • Photography — portraits, street, documentary; the camera as witness.
  • Visual art — painting, drawing, mixed media; the hand's theology.
  • Film — shorts, fragments, moving-image essays.
  • Performance — bodies in space; gesture as argument.
  • Exhibitions — curated shows, physical or digital, gathering strands into a room.
  • Family archives — albums, letters, home movies; the domestic sacred.
  • Images that hold more than words can sometimes carry — the ones you can't explain — only show.

One house: the Gallery's images hang in every room's imagination.

Community, conversation, resources, collaboration, shared knowledge, and the belief that presence should not depend upon socioeconomic status.

Possibilities

The Commons is the house's open door. Shared tables and open conversations, resource libraries, collaborative projects — presence here never depends on status, credentials, or socioeconomic standing.

One house: the Commons is the hallway between all the rooms.

Works in progress. Creative experiments. Research questions. Unfinished stories. Projects that are still becoming what they are.

Possibilities

The Workshop honors the unfinished. Nothing here has to be polished, proven, or complete — drafts, fragments, false starts, and beautiful problems are the entire point. Ideas are taken apart and put back together; research questions are allowed to stay questions for a while.

  • Drafts & fragments — pages in progress, scenes, sketches, half-thoughts worth keeping.
  • Experiments — new forms, new mediums, attempts that might fail interestingly.
  • Research questions — open inquiries, with public notes as they develop.
  • Works in progress — pieces growing toward the Gallery, the Library, or the stage — many begin in the Studio.

One house: the Workshop's drafts grow up into every room.

The moments that stop us in our tracks: discoveries, beautiful accidents, strange connections, unexpected questions, and things worth saying — wait, look at this.

A theology of surprise: every piece begins with a jolt — laughter, grief, awe — treated as theological data, not interruption.

How a piece is made

  1. Spark The jolt. Something funny, devastating, or luminous happens — and instead of walking past it, you stop.
  2. Witness You sit with the moment and ask: What is the moment? Why does it make me laugh-ache? Where is God sitting at the table in this one?
  3. Craft The moment is shaped through word, sound, and image — letras, sonido, arte — until it can carry weight.
  4. Offering The finished piece is released. What began as a private jolt becomes shared witness.

Three modes

  • Comedy — holy and hilarious; laughter as discernment.
  • Tragedy — lament; faith sitting inside the pain, not above it.
  • Testimony — witness narratives; true stories, told straight.

Possibilities

An OMG! moment can become anything the jolt demands — a performance, an essay, a short film, a sermon, a story told at a table. The room stays open to new sparks; bring yours.

One house: OMG! moments are the house getting interrupted — gladly.

A visual and musical diary of ideas, places, books, people, questions, memories, and moments that refuse to stay still.

Possibilities

The diary refuses to stay still: photo essays, video fragments, visual notes on books, places, and people, collaborations with the Gallery — a moving record of ideas that won't sit down.

One house: the Visual Diary is the house remembering itself out loud.

A room for presence, care, reflection, conversation, and returning to ourselves. A reminder that sometimes being here is enough.

Possibilities

This room stays soft on purpose: reflective writing, honest conversation, rest as a spiritual practice. Subscriber stories, videos, and photos live here too — intimacy, offered carefully.

One house: coMe for Me is the quiet room the whole house returns to.

Different rooms. One house.

The Journal will become a place for shorter pieces — field notes, reading notes, cultural observations, reflections, research fragments, letters, and questions that deserve somewhere to remain.
